Theme: Bullying; Cultivating a Healthy Mindset

The audience sees the two main characters being regularly bullied at school. We gain insight into the lives of all participants. The children are faced with peer pressure, self-esteem challenges and other external factors impacting on the way they experience their lives. We see Sam escape in “gaming”. This is until they buy a pizza from Mr. Mario.
He demonstrates that life is like a pizza. You decide how big or small you cut your pieces (learner’s level of interest) AND what toppings (values and attitudes) you sprinkle on to create a tasty slice of life (outcome). Best toppings include honesty, respect (for self and others), responsibility, positivity, friendship and accountability … all the good-old -fashioned values.
“Get A Life” is full of action and packed with intelligent humour. To ensure that EVERYONE in the audience understands the messages, age-appropriate examples are offered throughout the show. The actors adapt to the audience. A feast of fun and learning awaits.
